Summary
Nomination of chairperson: Section 89 of the Unit Titles Act 2010 requires the body corporate to nominate and elect a body corporate chairperson in accordance with Unit Titles Regulation 2011 at the AGM. A candidate for the election as chairperson must be nominated by other unit owners in the Body Corporate. The chairperson duties are detailed in Regulation 11.
Nomination of candidates for election as committee members: The Unit Titles Act 2010 and the Unit Titles Regulations 2011 require the body corporate with 10 or more units must elect the members of the body corporate committee. Body Corporate up to nine principal units may elect a committee. Owners of the principal unit can nominate themselves to be on the committee.
